Comet

2019 is the year we could enjoy a comet visible to a naked eye in the morning sky. My piece titled 'Comet' honours the rare event. In this fused glass artwork I combined a pot melt, stringers, powders and dichroic glass (all COE 96) to create a representation of a glowing fiery comet flying through space at a high speed. Comet is a 3D art, organically shaped glass is inserted in its metal stand in such a way it strongly suggests a traveling angle of the comet ball. The glass at its longest points measures 14" by 11", together with the stand it's 17" tall.
