This one of a kind plate has a very unique design. It's made of murrini - small glass cylinders with intricate cross-section. Prior creation of this plate, I made murrini: first I loaded a special kiln with glass stack and heated it till melting, then pulled long glass cane through a hole in the kiln floor, and finally, cut this cane in hundreds murrini. Only after that I combined murrini of various colors and fused them in another kiln. After cooling of this glass piece I cold worked edges to make them straight and smooth. Finally I did the last operation: slumping. The plate was heated in the kiln until it got a shape of a chosen mold.
