Frit Cast Autumn Maple

This piece was cast using Oceanside COE 96 frits in a Colour de Verre mold. The frit used was all opals and ranged from dark green to red,orange, and yellow. There was a small bit of fine black opal frit carefully placed into the veins of the leaf, as well as some deliberately placed medium to large frit pieces in deep brown and purple, before the colored opal frit was layed down. This gives the leaf an authentic "decayed" look.
