Description:
This piece was created using 128 squares of 3/4 inch COE 96 glass. It is a beautiful way to use up scrap. The pieces were carefully "shingled" together, placing a tiny dot of hairspray in an applicator to each corner for stability. For the first firing it was tack-fused and then finally the piece was slumped into a square plate mold. This bowl is a bit delicate, but it makes a beautiful art piece. My favorite part is how the light coming through it picks up and reflects the rainbow colors.
