Desert Cactus Candle Holder

Inspired by the Nevada desert, this cactus themed candle holder is a whimsical and colorful. The cacti are carefully cut, shaped and assembled. Using a method called "Freeze and Fuse", the flowers are made of powdered glass that is molded and frozen before popping them into the kiln. Assembled flat, the cacti and flowers are arranged, then fired lightly in the kiln to maintain the texture. A second firing in the kiln is required in order to achieve the rounded shape. This candle holder measures 7 inches by 6 inches wide.
