A Scow Racing

I have so enjoyed racing these beautiful, powerful boats the past 10 years.  I created this piece to celebrate the life of a fellow sailor and sponsor.

I wanted to share the beauty of the race as the spinnackers are hoisted, the strong lines of the sails and the speed and power across the water with the texture of the glass.  I deliberately muted the background with clear rippled glass so the eye focuses on the boats.
