Enameled Horned Owl in Night Flight

This owl was sawed out of white sheet glass and colored using high fire glass enamels and then tack fused onto a streaky background night sky and the tree is textured with crackle.  This gives some depth to the picture as the owl and tree trunk actually stand out slightly.  The finished glass piece is mounted on a hand painted wood panel.  See the photo of the owl before it was tack fused to the background...it is very interesting.
