The Crystal Cave; Abstract Stained Glass with Natural Stones

This piece was made in the start of the lock-down. Creativity was elusive and finally one day I was able flow. The soft colors combine with herkimer diamonds and smoky quartz crystal. In additional there are fine details including several different sttayle of decorative solder and inclusion of a raw egde of glass at the top. The piece is a 10" diameter and stands about 13" tall with the black iron stand. 

It is a representation of that internal space within each person that protects what we hold most dear. The treasures we hold but don't always feel comfortable sharing with the world. It is our hopes, dreams and fears. The place we are most vulnerable.
