Based on the ceramic zellige tiles found in Southern Spain and Morocco, this is a round stained glass panel made with opaque and seeded yellow, light blue and white glass. The central rosette is made with a mesmerizing yellow and white mottled glass and is encircled with light blue stars. The panel is wrapped in a zinc frame. Solder and zinc are stained and polished to look like antiqued pewter. I start by hand drawing each pattern based on traditional methods of using only a compass and ruler.
Measurements: approximately 14.5" in diameter
