Mottled Blues Twelve Fold Rosette

Based on the ceramic zellige tiles found in Al-Attarine Madrasa in Morocco, this is a hexagonal stained glass panel made with mottled blue glass and highlighted with transparent periwinkle and aqua pieces. The panel is wrapped in a zinc frame. Solder and zinc are stained and polished to look like antiqued pewter. I start by hand drawing each pattern based on traditional methods of using only a compass and ruler.
