Balloon suncatcher

This baby gift, balloon suncatcher, is an original design and is wonderful for scrap glass. I looked everywhere for a pattern of a bunch of balloons and found nothing that I liked. I could not figure out how to lay out the pattern for overlapping balloons, so I decided to make each balloon separate and then laid out and tack soldered them in place. The animal was made with pieces cut to resemble balloon animals made at children's parties. Each balloon has a string made from wire which has been twisted to resemble a tie. This is tack-soldered to the end of the balloon.

Each balloon bunch can be different based on what scrape glass is available.
