Description:
This glass piece measures about 12" x 12". I made a simple summer birch scene with a winding path. Most of the piece was made on Oceanside sky blue transparent glass. I then used fine and medium frit in shades of green. I used brown and almond glass for the path. The bark on the tree was painted with glass enamels. I wanted a different stand treatment since I chose to slump the piece on a piece of metal that I bent into a curve. Again, I asked my metal artist friend to make some copper trees with tiny brass leaves to help hold the piece in place. I chose to show you the back side of the piece so that you can see that I just drilled a hole into the driftwood and put a metal rod into to help hold up the glass piece. Overall I think it adds to the total effect.
