Description:
A bright green sea turtle glides through a lovely kelp garden guided through cobalt seas by a seascape of sea anemones, rocks and sea shells. This mosaic suncatcher was made using stained glass, ball chain, glass half domes, beads and sea shells found on a local beach on a 10"W x 20"H float frame. I used a gorgeous cobalt waterglass for the ocean water that almost seems to be moving when light shines through it. I made this piece as an entry for an art contest/fundraiser for a local sea turtle rescue and rehabilitation organization. I have always loved sea turtles and this one is definitely a favorite.
