This happy guy (yes, it's a "he") jumped out at me from an ad for I can't even recall what. But he really made me smile so I couldn't resist making this ornament for our Christmas tree. The round body part is about 4" in diameter, so he's a good size overall. Care in handling is a must due to the spindly arms.
The eyes and buttons were made with frit balls and pebbles made in the kiln in a separate firing session. Quite a bit of small and medium sized white frit was used for snow on the hat, scarf, and mittens, but much of it seemed to disappear on firing (note for next time). I didn't feel like adding more in a second firing, so I left it as is. Target temp was 1300F, with a 10-minute hold. The hanger was made with high-temp fusing wire.
