Cocktail Lady

This panel was inspired by the wonderfully colorful work of artist Tom Fedro.  It measures 21" x 15".  

As I had just enough of the creamy/amber background glass for this project with absolutely none to spare (and my local supplier did NOT have any more in stock), I was taking extra care in placement & cutting... and of course the score for the background piece surrounding the earring ran the wrong way and the piece broke where it wasn't supposed to break.  Well, after shedding a few tears, I redesigned the 1 pc earring into a 3 pc earring, incorporating some geode slices and a fused piece I had laying around.  I was quite pleased with the outcome after all!

The part of the straw that you see through the cocktail glass was soldered to the back of the panel, to give the drink a more realistic look.
