Bright Colorful Multi-layered Dichroic Glass Pendant

This pendant has stacked and fired dichroic pieces which also have designs etched into them with a diamond bur, fired into clear glass, which is then ground to a nice shape.  A groove is ground into the outside edge to hold the wire wrapping in place.  This is wire wrapped (gently) with gold fill wire. The wire wrapping around the outside prevents you from seeing the metal though a transparent piece.....which is especially important if you might have tarnish form later where it would be very difficult to repolish.
