Family tree with etched photographs

This window is 38"x37" unframed.  It covers 9 generations of my family and is made up of about 340 light blue background pieces, 81 dark brown, 27 med brown, 52 light brown and 23 green pieces for the tree.  It took 3 rolls of copper foil and 5 spools of solder. There are 53 etched pictures in the window and lots of etched names and dates.  I worked with an ETSY etching artist on the photos.  For the family members with just names and dates, I etched them by hand and then came back with acrylic paint which I rubbed into the words and then wiped off so that the paint would remain in the etching and show up better.  For the etched pictures, I double stacked them.  The etchings were done on clear glass and I stacked them on a dark background stained glass.  Some of the colors were still too bright to be able to see the etching.  On those, I added a coat of black glass paint to the back to reduce the light transmission.  This was a large project that took about 6 months working with the etching artist and creating all the pieces.  I hope it will be an heriloom for my family.
