Roses and bees among the dahlias

Lampworked dahlias (COE104) incorporate two lampworked stigmas (COE104) comprised of hand sculpted miniature roses, leaves, bees and beehive encased in clear glass. 

Each dahlia has over 50 individually lampworked petals glass bonded on a circular substrate. Each dahlia is mounted on a copper stem and incorporated on a stainglass composition. Each of the miniature roses is about 1/4" in diameter and contains over 20 individually lampworked petals. The leaves, which are aprroximately 1/8" in lenght, are individually lampworked and fused to stems of about 1/32" in diameter. The lampworked bees are 1/4" to 3/8" in lenght.

The stainglass composition is 8" wide, 10" high. A slanted portion is included to create a 3-D relief for the copper stems.
