Crystal skull with spider

This great design is by Victoria Tilley from the Fall 2023 Glass Patterns Quarterly magazine.  It is about 9" wide.  I have a bucketful of clear iridized scrap that came from a garage sale, that was perfect for this project (never throw out your scrap!).

Spiders horrify me, but I bravely pushed that feeling aside for the art!  The spider's body is made of leftover fused puddles from my earlier Puddle Platter project.  The legs are (about) 12? gauge copper wire, and the web was built one short strand at a time with very fine copper wire.
