Fleuressence: Stained glass mosaic and steel sculptures

This project is a collaboration between myself (Jennifer Kuhns/JK Mosaic) and metal sculptor Abe Singer. It was commissioned by the Edmonds Floretum Garden Club to celebrate their centennial in summer 2022. The installed artwork was then donated to the Edmonds Arts Commission for their public collection. The artwork is made from stained glass mosaic inset into steel frameworks shaped like stylized flowers/bulbs at different stages of development. Each flower has three "petals" radiating from the center, and each set of facing petals features a vignette in a different garden theme. Most of the glass was hand-cut with Toyo scoring tools, with some details added using a Taurus ring saw.
