Kildeer Chick Out Exploring

This little kildeer chick was cut out of white sheet glass with a ring saw then enameled. This is actually a mixed media piece as the grass and gravel are sheet glass and frit and the glass pieces are all mounted on a wood 2D panel that has also been painted with acrylics to enhance the look of the little chic blending into his background.  Kildeer babies have amazing camouflage. The painting also wraps around the sides of the wood panel.
