Dichroic Wire Wrapped Cactus Pendant

These  cactus pieces were individually cut, ground to shape and then etched with a diamond bur to add the lines or accents.  They were then fired onto a piece of clear glass and a groove was ground in all along the edge to hold a gold fill wire wrap to frame and hang the pendant. Wire wrapping like this keeps the finding from getting in the way of the artwork....and if it is metal that tarnishes that will never show.
