Winter River Birch

Winter River Birch is a fused glass piece that is 8.5" x 11".  It is made up of two full layers of Bullseye sheet glass plus the snow layer and many inclusions.  I like to use the unique "rolled edge" of Bullseye glass to give an organic look to the landscape.  Color Line enamels creates the details in the trees.  Small branches and saplings were made by hand pulling vitrograph with a torch.  Powders and frit complete the final details.  The hand-made black wood stand rounds out the finished piece.
