Patchworked Pieces of Dichroic Glass

This pendant was made by creating a cabochon using a number of small different colored pieces of dichroic glass. Most were textured and also some have designs etched in with a diamond bur. Once the cab is fired into a solid piece it must be ground to a more regular shape and then fire polished for a more professional look.  A groove was added around the outside edge and then the cab was wrapped in gold fill wire.
