BRONZclay projects must fired in a reducing atmosphere to allow metal particles to sinter properly, producing a strong finished project. To accomplish this, surround projects with activated carbon during firing. Coal-based, acid-washed carbon creates a richly colorful patina on pieces as they're fired.

Long-lasting carbon withstands about 100 hours of firing.
