  •   does its job

Pros : Removes oxidation from solder providing a bright surface to apply patina. Its soft enough that it won't scratch the glass, yet hard enough to polish lead. Doesn't leave particles that can rust like steel wool. Its an 'expendable' - but nevertheless lasts through numerous projects. I view it as an essential.
Cons : A bit too course to get some of the nicks and crannies in the solder. Would be better if it were finer, like steel wool.

Pros :
Cons : Having trouble comming up with anything really nice to say about this product for it's intended purpose. I didn't find this product to be very useful in it's intended, described purpose. A fine grit sandpaper did more good.

Pros : The main point that takes this product miles away from the steel wool is that it does not leave rapidly oxidating micro particles on your project. And this is especially important if you use drapery or granite ripples or other delicate glass. Also it works excellent if you need to remove old patina, repair the item or fix the problems of the soldering. Yes, it will not last for years. Yes, may look expensive, but it is the the professional small thing - does its job without creating any in addition.
Cons : None
