Product Description

Inspired by the iconic maple tree of North America, this large northwoods maple leaf creates a finished piece measuring 7-1/2" x 9-1/2". The maple leaf has a bonus, on the mold's reverse side there is a slumping surface on which cast leaves can be turned into perfect salad plates. Or if you prefer, use the 10" Bowl Slump Form (item # 77849) to create sweet dessert bowls. Three, five, or more Maple Leaves can be grouped, tacked together, and slumped to form large, decorative platters and dramatic vessels or wall art. The mold itself measures 9" x 11". The fill weight is 300 to 320 grams.

  •   Endless leaf possibilities
By on
Pros : This mold has been a real joy to use! I love the realistic veining. I’ve been experimenting with coarse and fine frit combinations to achieve some unique looks. These would be ideal for small snack plates for Thanksgiving! I’m excited to lift up the lid of my kiln to see the interesting results every time.
Cons : None so far.

  •   Wonderful Mold!

Pros : Life-like details in the mold allow you to make a leaf that is jaw-dropping beautiful. The instructions for the wafer-thin process can create really cool leaves that need to be carefully mounted in a protective frame.
Cons : None!!
Other Thoughts : Can be slumped to be a beautiful bowl, or a life-like wavy leaf.
