I'm a retired law librarian who loves to make jewelry, dishes, bowls, coasters, and mosaics out of all types of glass, including, fused glass and stained glass. I'm married to another librarian and we have one son in college. In addition to painting and collage, I've been making mosaic tables, mirrors, boxes, frames, etc. for a number of years and took my first fused glass class 2 years ago and fell in love with the process and beautiful results.

Tried firing on both 90 & 96 come and in both cases they came out faded.

Also tried on different color glass. Looks best on red opal or red transparent

Fast set-up. Pre-set programs. Light weight, relatively to a brick kiln. large firing area, 16 inches square. consistent firing results

Cons
Depth/height only 3 inches. But I knew that before I bought it. So really no cons.

Other Thoughts
Recommend using thin fire shelf paper. In addition, I kiln wash to protect delicate material of kiln. Love the clamshell design, makes it so easy to place glass onto kiln surface.
