Description:
This window was commissioned by a couple for their beautiful log home. It is the center piece of the home, situated above the central stair case landing, between the master suit and the main part of the home. It measures 3' x 8', contains just under 500 pieces of glass, and is made entirely from one color of Youghiogheny glass. It is made of twelve individual copper foiled panels joined together with lots of zinc 'h' channel, framing, and rebar. Engineering the structural issues of this window was the most difficult part on it's construction.

How do you determine when bracing/rebar is required and when?
