St. Basil

Description:

A highly unconventional glass kaleidoscope, named for the internal image which it produces, resembling the onion domes atop St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow, Russia.  Several glassworking techniques are involved in the construction: 3-D stained glass for the outer casing, with fused dichroic cabouchon decorative elements, glassblowing for the oil-filled globe viewing object, lampworking for the contents of the globe, plus intricate mirror construction for the interior optical structure.

Overall size 7 x 6 x 2.5 inches

This is amazing. Very creative thinking involved in coming up with this....not even to mention the skill to carry it out.
