Description:
This window is a memorial window installed in a church in Charlottesville, Virginia. The window openning is approximately 39 inches wide by 8 feet tall, and it weighs 152 pounds. There are approximately 700 pieces of glass in the window. it contains both plated and painted glass. Steel support rods are bent and welded in back of the window and copper wires soldered into the glass came are then tied onto the rods. In so doing, the support rods are not seen running through the window image. This construction technique is unique to Art Glass Windows.
