What's Left Behind

After a struggle or injury a feather is often left behind but the bird, a fortunate one, carries on despite its loss.  The feathers serve as a reminder of the beauty that still can be found in the midst of struggle; it is all around if only one looks.   This 12" kilnformed bowl is one of a series that helped me surround myself with the things I love-nature, while also staying safe during cancer treatment. This piece is made of Bullseye glass and powered frit mixed with stringer medium.
