Lotus Garden

Fuchsia textured accents, combined with yellow powders create the fused glass lotus.  Fine black line work add definition to the blossoms and bird within the circular design.  Powdered patterns placed on the top layer create subtle design elements in this multi-layered fused glass artwork.  Specialized fusing glass chips, powders, and sheet glass are combined, then fired twice in a glass kiln.  Varying the temperature and time greatly in each program results in the combination of smooth surface with highly textural accents.   15” x 15” x ¼”
