Manifesto

This mosaic sums up me and my perspective on life, really. It developed from a doodle in my sketchbook, and I had notions of it being a wall-sized mosaic mural. But for now, I have made it into a 15" x 20" mosaic panel done Opus Sectile style. It is almost all hand-cut, but there are a few spots where I turned to the Apollo ring saw to make some deep inverted curves. It's a mix of glass types, from Spectrum to Bullseye. Done on mesh over the design, transferred into a bed of Laticrete Platinum 254 thinset on hardiboard.
