Great blue heron

This was made using the pattern from the book "Sidelights, Fanlights and Transoms" by Ed Sibbett Jr. (pg. 6).  It measures 27" x 9".  The "Flamingo" companion panel is posted separately.

From the moment that I picked up a glass cutter in a beginner's class, I knew that stained glass crafting was for me.  This was my first project after the class ended.  It was definitely challenging for a beginner, but with patience and perseverance, it turned out quite nicely if I do say so myself.

By the way, someone with a keen eye might spot the classic beginner's mistake that I made.  But I'll never tell!
