Planets & ribbons

This was made using the pattern entitled "Rondel Rhapsody" by Judi Sears in the pattern book "A Gallery of Winners" by CKE Publications.  It measures 29 1/2" x 11".

Normally, much of my work relates to nature in some way (birds, animals, flowers, etc.), and I was looking to change things up a bit by making something with a more abstract concept, and this fit the bill.  I really liked Judi's color scheme so I stayed mostly faithful to it.  Instead of rondels, I used wine & clear baroque glass and decided they looked like planets, hence the title of my project.  Thanks, Judi, for your great design!
