Great Horned Owl in High Fire Glass Enamels

This great horned owl is painted in high fire glass enamels which require several layers (and firings in the kiln).  It is enameled over a streaky blue background that contains steel blue glass..which turns metalic when fired and makes for an interesting streaky cloud-like background.  The glass artwork is 8 x 8 inches square and mounted on a hand painted wooden panel that is 10 x 10 x 1.5 inches and ready to hang.  Very striking.
