Playing with Glass Powders Bluebird

This little bird was made by dropping glass powders into a simple stencil I made in the shape of the bird and then it was fired very lightly to maintain sort of a pate de verre texture. The sky is also powder manipulated right on the white background.   The leaves are done separately and cast in glass powders using a mold made with real leaves and the flowers are freeze & fuse.
