10 Foot Cranston Arch Panel

0 loves
Description:

wow this might look like a simple job but I had to make this panel in 4 pieces to fit together in this giant 10 foot 4 inch opening. A panel that large would not be realistic since I had to install it 20 feet up in the air all by myself.  You can also see the the house in the picture where it was installed. The owner liked it so well that he had me make an exact copy for the other end of the room.

It was done in Spectrum sea foam green water glass, 891.61 Champayne opal, glue chip, everglade glass and various bevels

Keep in mind I am 87% colorblind and I make up for it  in the fact that I use my abilities of  "Synesthesia" which is called the mixing of senses. Color is seen and heard and the same with sounds. So in a way when I color a panel I am making music. Purples make sweet sounds to me so I do a lot of purple mix panels.

The panel was done in copper foil

How do you determine where and how much bracing/support you have to incorporate?
