Product Description
Features cool-touch technology!
Introducing Hot Shot's Vitrigraph Kiln! Using a Vitrigraph Kiln is a fun and artistic option to make long, thin rods of glass. These rods can be used for making mosaics, adding decorative elements to glass pieces, or even for more complex glasswork techniques. The adjustable TAP controller allows you to alter the screen's display to your liking. The elements are encased in quartz tubes to prevent them from flaking into your projects! Interior measures 7" x 7" x 7".
What does cool-touch technology mean? It means the body of the kiln never reaches above 15 degrees ambient temperature, increasing the size of your workspace. This kiln only requires a 3-inch gap between it and its surroundings. It is built with a high-quality powder coating core construction with a fan-cooled, powder-coated external enclosure. It features a dual-layer air plenum for external heat management and precise temperature control.
Advanced Features
- Solid State Relay: This kiln is equipped with a solid state relay. Solid state relays have a much longer life span than traditional manual/mechanical relays. They are also much more energy efficient. Relying on a semiconductor instead of electromechanical relays means no clicking sound when running.
- Quartz Tube Casing: Elements are encased in quartz tubes. No need to worry about them flaking into your projects.
- Programmable Alarm: Each unit comes standard with an integrated alarm that can be set to alert the user when a desired point or temperature is reached in the program.
Imagine what you could make with this kiln! Runs on standard 120v household current. 80 lbs. 3-year manufacturer warranty.
