Product Reviews
Pros
A great addition to the Morton Glass Cutting System. I label stops that I consistently use, so having extra stops makes my work more flexible and less tedious. I have several sets for different projects.
Cons
NONE!
Other Thoughts
For projects that are repeatedly used, set the stops firmly and label them with the length they are set at so you don't have to keep resetting them. Buy extra stops for other projects that need to have the stops adjusted.
Pros
Can add an awesome dimension to glass. A little goes a long way.
Cons
Wasn't quite sure what to do with it when I purchased it, wished it came with some instructions.
Other Thoughts
I put the copper mica on a single piece of orange glass and wiped it off with a paper towel. After it was fired it reminded me of the carnival glass that my Grandma had in her house.
Pros
I found the texture to be subtle, yet very pretty. Well made and easy to use.
Cons
I would have preferred the carving to be a bit deeper...more pronounced. I'd also like to see some documentation with this product...kiln wash recommendation, suggested firing, etc.
Other Thoughts
All in all a very nice mold.
Pros
fun and came out well. haven't had any stick
Cons
needs to be more defined around the acorns cap and smaller leaf. mine are not as defined as this picture of the acorns

Pros
I had been to a bead making class and got hooked! It was hard to source in NZ so bought from Delphi and service was great. Kit has good range of glass and tools.
Cons
The mandrels are pretty big - I've ordered the 1/16th" ones to replace these - they leave the hole in the bead too wide which you can see on jewelry pieces. Also the sludgey stuff dries out - I've found adding water and stirring well brings it back to life.
Other Thoughts
Like others more detailed instructions would be good - although I ended up checking out heaps of stuff on youtube and that worked great!
Pros
Dries slowly, allows repositioning, and because it burns off, you don't have to re-clean the glass every time you move a piece. Best used for frit and small pieces of glass. The bond is really only a "tack" and a little goes a long way.
Cons
Not a strong adhesive, and does not work well on larger pieces of glass, as the slightest jostling -- like moving to the kiln -- will dislodge anything along the rim.
Other Thoughts
Pros
A fusing staple, it is best used for frit and small pieces of glass. It is easy to use and a little goes a long way. It is slow to dry, and burns off cleanly, so if you do reposition a piece you usually do not have to clean re-clean the glass every time you move a piece.
Cons
It is not a strong adhesive, which is both good and bad: it's easy to change your mind and remove a piece long after it has dried, but if used on larger pieces, particularly around the edges of a piece, the bond is lost by a very slight jostling, such as the mere process of putting the piece in the kiln.

Pros
I love the convenience of having this paper pre-cut!!! I have a 24" kiln and it fits perfectly. It is also easier to handle than a huge roll. You can break down the pieces to be smaller without having to have a huge table to roll the paper out onto for cutting. It is WAY easier to store also. I love the print on the back that automatically shows you the correct side for firing. VERY HANDY
Cons
Does stick more to the back of glass than a prior thinfire paper I was using. I feel that it is only good for one firing (contrary to other reviews).
Other Thoughts
Great product! I will continue to use it even though it is more expensive, the convenience is worth it!
Pros
No need to prep kiln shelf with wash over and over. Convenient. Cut to fit perfectly in a 24" kiln. LOVE THAT!
Cons
Rougher texture than I am used to with Fiber Paper. VERY thin, would not work for too many firings
Other Thoughts
I'm used to a thicker fiber paper which I feel has better air flow. It also can be used for many firings without so much waste.
Pros
I love working with the vermiculite boards. They are great for "building" glass pieces on in layers and not having to carry something to the kiln that is not steady. I find them incredibly handy. They are also great for making tons of dots. Line them with thin fire and use your scraps to make dots. Fire once the board is full. It is low profile, so I can keep it in a drawer and keep working with it until full.
Cons
I stilted a board ONCE and it warped at 1500. I won't be able to use it again. I was very surprised that it bowed in the middle. Two pieces were ruined because of the warping. I still love these boards and will just never stilt mine again.
Other Thoughts
You can cut these boards into shapes and sizes, which is very handy. The vermiculite does leave some board powder residue behind on the kiln shelf after firing.
Pros
Well made, thick, sturdy, very level. I use these to elevate my slumping molds. Long enough to lay sideways to balance molds.
Cons
None
Other Thoughts
I make sure to kiln wash these before use.
Pros
Easy to snug around the neck of the outlet base. Has a long face plate to hold enough glue to adhere glass nightlights.
Cons
Other Thoughts
Best to roughen up metal and glass before adhering with adhesive. E6000 works well.
Pros
I love this item. It really dresses up your beads and makes them look professional. I LOVE this product!! Good price too.
Cons
None!!! Love them!!!
Other Thoughts
Would like to see these offered in sterling silver too!!!
