Very stable, lightweight.

Cons
The top guard needs to be larger. It throws water everywhere, on you, to the rear and to the left. It is very messy. I actually hung towels around to catch the water that is thrown around. The plastic holder that holds the cooling sponge in place seems to pop up when teh sponge expands, so I was constantly adjusting it as it leaves a ridge on teh surface which interferes with the glass sliding to the grinding wheel, after several adjustments on the sponge, I eliminated this issue.

Other Thoughts
A plastic three sided shield would be great for this as well as something to stop the water from being thrown on your shirt.

Pros
This saw is a terrific tool for the glass studio! I also have a Diamond Laser Band saw, but the Taurus cuts RINGS around the band saw (Pun totally intended!) Taurus saw can cut in any direction, whereas the band saw only cuts in 1 direction. Comes with a DVD of instructions and cool hints for cutting more than 1 layer at a time. I LOVE IT!!! FAST! FUN! EASY!!!

My only complaint is the LOUD noise.

I have been using this product for years. I can depend on it to provide a consisted patina to either lead or solder. It always gives my work an "antique" look. I like the black, but it also comes in copper, brass & dove grey, I think.

We apply it with a cotton ball, held by a clothes pin so the solution does not get on our hands or clothing. Works GREAT!

This is the perfect bail if you want the pad on the back of the pendant (which I almost always do). Has enough surface area on the pad to hold fast. Beautiful as well!

A bit pricy compared to the thin, flimsy competition.

I keep both the silver and gold on hand. Until I discovered these I was drilling holes in my pendants. I don't care how good your adhesive is, a 2mm pad isn't going to hold.

I love this color(s). This dichro looks great behind or layered over every color cathedral or opaque I tried.

Interestingly, a simple Sharpie marker makes a great stencil. I just marked a pattern on dichroic glass and rinsed after a moment or two and PRESTO!. The ink resists the etching cream just like a stencil.

Makes a gorgeous 22k gold embellishment. Characters in 3 different sizes, some small enough for post earrings. Not difficult to apply.

Cons
Some of the characters have no mate so they can't be used for matching earrings. Even the largest characters could stand to a bit bigger (pendant size). Have to be fired on top of glass.

I first fired these on opaque glass and then refired with clear over the top. this significantly mutilated the previously beautiful result. In my experience these decals must remain on top of the top glass layer for best results.

I'm happy with the blade, it works just like the old one. Really like how easy it is to install.
