make sure you can drill the approximately 1/4" hole in the glass plates. I ended up using a smaller drill bit with my rotary tool with plates slightly submerged in water. I then used next larger size until I used the 1/4" size in my plug in drill. I know, not supposed to use electric tools in water. Be careful. I ended up suing a bit set from harbor freight, since I burnt up my bit from Delphi by not using enough water.

Has a few minor scratches in the finish, which detracts a little from the polished look of the piece. Not gallery quality with scratches, more craft fair level.

Finished product ranges from a nice pastel sage green to a metallic dark grey, depending on how you work it. Looks great with dark ivory or metallic black. I also love the effect when you roll it in baking soda.

Not for everybody as it shocks easily and also reduces to a metal patina easily (even without a reducing flame).

Recommend using thin fire shelf paper. In addition, I kiln wash to protect delicate material of kiln. Love the clamshell design, makes it so easy to place glass onto kiln surface.

It's very versitle. You can use the top grinder for odd or rounded edges and the flat grinder for flat edges.

Yes, it does splash if you fill the water line too high, but I have a Morton splash guard surrounding the grinder and plexiglass beneath my grinder on my work surface area so that water doesn't spread everywhere. Other than that, it works great!

I've had my grinder for over 13 years now and have never had a problem with it. I'm not sure if it was manufactured in China, but overall I am very pleased with my grinder.

Pros
I have had this grinder for several years and it is my workhorse. Mine is blue and is probably an earlier model. I like the fact that I can grind straight edges using the disc. I have added a Max Slash Shield to contain the splashing from the disc and a face shield to protect my eyes while using the grinding bit. After several years of regular use, the grinding disc separated. I contacted the manufacturer to ask about a glue or epoxy to affix it to the grinder, and was told that they would replace it free of charge because they considered it defective.
