  •   Canfield Silvergleem Solder
By on
Pros : I use steel wool with CJ's Flux Remover to get a lovely brushed silver finish that looks very rich. No other lead free product gives looks as good.
Cons : Higher setting on soldering iron is required to get it to flow well.
Other Thoughts : Love it! I use it for all my jewelry.

  •   LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!
By on
Pros : Heats up FAST, and it heats down fast when you need the temp turned down a bit. It is light weight and a light blinks to let you know that it has reached the desired temp. It's lightweight and not clunky like ever other iron I have used. The tip stays cleaner that any other iron I have used. This is hands down the BEST soldering iron on the planet.
Cons : No cons here.
Other Thoughts : I use this with Mastercraft 60/40 and can not ask for a better combo. You get a nice thick seam when the iron is at 310 C. If you need a more liquid thinner solder heat up to 360 C. For years I have tried to find the magic combo and this is it. I solder sea glass, cabachons, anything I can get copper foil around. I love my iron sooo much!

  •   Great Little iron
By on
Pros : Lightweight, heats up really fast. Because of the light weight, you can solder much longer without wrist fatigue. Love this little iron. I would recommend it highly.
Cons : It's so small it drops down into my soldering station ring and rests on the inside of the metal rings which I have heard takes away some of the heat from the iron but I didn't notice any cool down so maybe this isn't a problem.
Other Thoughts : Doesn't come with an instruction manual but you can download the one page sheet from Delphi site. Also, I think the key is a waste of time, just something extra to store somewhere.

  •   a must for noodle wrists!
By on
Pros : Yes the heating is good and steady, but what I love the most is that I could really enjoy soldering a 616 piece large panel without the hand fatigue and the pain, as I have a wrist injury (teared up cartilage). The dry brass sponge is a time saver too and keeps the solder tempt steady and clean of oxidize. This is my favorite soldering iron. I wont change it for any other.Oh and for the tiny key I just keep it in the iron station and "No Problema"
Cons :
Other Thoughts : The previous soldering iron that I had was a torture on my wrist even before I had the hand injury. The solder at the end wasn't looking to good either because of this.

  •   Wow, the speed!
By on
Pros : Heats up really fast and holds temp well. Admittedly, I've been using a 30 year old iron - but this one is amazing
Cons : Only con so far is it has a little locking mechanism - don't know if I'll ever use. The key is really hard to keep track of, it doesn't store on the iron. I keep finding it in weird places and go "What the heck is this thing?" Then I notice it matching my iron and say "Oh yeah, I have to find a place to keep this in case I want to use it."

  •   I LOVE THIS IRON!
By on
Pros : Gets hot and stays hot, doesn't lose heat. Lightweight means less hand fatigue.
Cons : none
Other Thoughts : I was doing a repair and was removing some zinc came from a panel and the iron melted the zinc came! This iron is so easy to use I just love it!

Pros : This has got to be the best invention in the world. I bought this iron Jan 2012, earlier in the year I bought the Hakko 556-SE the cord was to short for my liking, this on is everything I ever wanted in an iron, light weight, small, easy to manage just a great little iron. heats up extremely quick.
Cons : None that I can come up with.
Other Thoughts : You owe it to yourself to own this iron
