Safety Break System by jonquele1010221159 on August 9, 2012 4 stars
Pros
On thin glass, you can break out very intricate curves with no flares, etc. The scores run beautifully. On thick art glass, with a good score the glass breaks very cleanly. I really appreciated Morton's tips on how to train your scoring and breaking pressure. I am still working on it, but I have improved a lot. This is the first tool I grab for breaking.
Cons
Occasionally, no matter what I do, the glass refuses to break. This is often thicker glass near the rolled edge. It is probably operator error, but I am glad to have my pliers or grozers then. Very small pieces don't like to break either.
Other Thoughts
I have not played much yet on breaking out circles.

Taurus 3 Ring Saw by amtcamtc2012160803 on August 9, 2012 5 stars
Pros
Like it a lot. Some glass can be frustrating when cutting very concave curves. This saw will save you time and glass since you will get the cut right away without needing to grind instead of breaking expensive glass and spending a lot of time grinding to complete the cut. Instructionons are clear and easy to follow.
Cons
It is noisy, but i use it in an open space. I will recommend to use vaseline or stick in product so the mark does not erase with the water. I admit it is pricy, but for me pays when I can make the impossible cuts
Other Thoughts
Look for it on sale and you will not regret it.

Taurus 3 Ring Saw - International Voltage by mozziemaud on August 9, 2012 4 stars
Pros
My glorious international model of the Taurus 3 Ring Saw was a solid investment that I have found is totally value for money. I'm now limited only by imagination - it cuts curves, circles etc in glass superbly - and the edges are left smooth and don't need further grinding. The light over the blade is very useful too I find. Easy enough to use for anyone - cuts through glass and stone - but won't cut my fingers - so totally safe to use. There's just so much fun to be had with a machine like this - and I'm the envy of my friends in the mosaic association, that's for sure. I have cut shapes of parrots and leaves etc from the most beautiful art glass and mirror - beautiful objects in their own right - but which can be used in my mosaic art too. You could make so many unique objects out glass, marble and stone, with this beauty. A friend gave me left-over stone from kitchen bench top - I want a cutting board so aim to cut to size, rounding and smoothing corners all in one go!
Cons
I must admit, the worst part of using it, is having to clean out the bottom of the tank, which has the left-over powdered glass sitting suspended in the water that the ring saw drives through. But hey, its a necessary activity which is more than paid for by the delight of working with this machine. I've learned to organise all my cutting in one go, so this effort is minimised. What is not to like about the versatility of this machine? The biggest drawback I'm experienced so far - is that I just do not have enough time to use it as much as I'd love!

Many artisans could find uses for this baby! We deserve the right tools so we can let our imaginations run free.

Business Card / Napkin Holder Mold by JuanitaHendricks on August 9, 2012 4 stars
Pros
Good quality mold. I was successful on the first try. I had no problems with sticking but I fired at a very low temp (1300 degrees).
Cons
I found it was a bit wide as a business card holder.
Other Thoughts
I haven't tried it as a napkin holder yet but I'm sure that will be the ideal use for it.

Printmaking Techniques On Glass by rgilbert (top contributor) on August 9, 2012 5 stars
Pros
Lots of techniques well explained and well illustrated. The author pushes the idea of learning a technique rather than copying a pattern which is fabulous.
Cons
None.
Other Thoughts
The steps are well explained and have good color photos for all steps.
