It makes small cabochons but that's what I wanted. The circle and oval are my favorite.

Jen-Ken Pro-Fusion Lite 16 Kiln by Catherine T on June 26, 2012 4 stars
Pros
This kiln has a lot of useable space but not much depth (3 inches). It fires and cools quickly without radiating as much heat. Because it does not have to heat up bricks as well as your project, the electrical cost is small. The quartz elements have a long life and don't need replacing like a brick kiln, nor will you eventually have to replace the lid. The controller is separate making it easier to fit in a small space, and easy to replace if ever needed. It is light weight compared to a brick kiln,so simple to get it home or move it. This kiln is more expensive to start with, but you don't have to replace elements, or lid. When you combine that with the low electric draw, it actually becomes cheaper than a comparably sized brick kiln over its life.
Cons
Two downsides. First the material it is made out of is EXTREMELY fragile. If you drop a mold on it it makes a dent. Be very careful not to scratch the interior. Even sliding a piece acrossed the floor of the kiln can damage it. You can get a tube of stuff to repair it, but it is not as flat and smooth a finish as it started with. Secondly, the controller is frustrating to figure out how to customize. There are several pre-set programs which work well, but I wanted to do castings which don't fit in to one of those pre-made programs. I think the benefits far outway the negatives and I am completely happy with this kiln.
Other Thoughts
This kiln comes in either a 15amp, household circuit or 20 amp which requires a heavier gauge wire and special plug in. The 20 gauge heats up faster, saving electricity and time, but it cost an additional $100 to have the electrician put in the special plug on an existing 20 amp line.

12" Premium Square Wrought Iron Stand by DancingLightGlass (top contributor) on June 26, 2012 5 stars
Pros
Sturdy and can accommodate pieces with dimension.
Cons
None.
Other Thoughts
An ongoing dilemma for all of us who do glass panels has been finding substantial, sturdy stands that do not cover parts of our art work. After trying this 12" wrought iron stand, I was thrilled with not only the look, but found it to be very sturdy for taller pieces. I tried a 6mm mosaic panel that was approximately 12" x 18" and found it fit very well with only a small amount of room left. This is great for those of us who often add a little more dimension with frit or other embellishments. Whether six millimeters or slightly larger, the fit is good and the stand is sturdy enough to hold taller pieces, and the look is great. I highly recommend this stand.

Glastar Foiling Machine by MelMan53 on June 26, 2012 5 stars
Pros
Dispenses and centers the foil cutting your time dramatically. Separates the foil from the backing and keeps the backing out of your way.
Cons
If you use Studio Pro foil, it comes with a plastic insert that the foil is wrapped around which makes it somewhat difficult to mount the roll of foil on the machine. You can do it but have a couple screw drivers handy to help spread the spool over the ridge on the machine to mount the foil.
Other Thoughts
As I am just a beginner, foiling a project was a drudgery for me. I would spend several hours to get a project wrapped in foil. It took me about an hour to get the hang of using this machine but once I did, foiling became easy and far less time consuming. I've mounted the machine on a board to keep it portable and love the results I've gotten. If you are an expert stained glass person, you may not have any use for this machine. But for me, it was a God send!
