C7 Corvette Emblem

The color and vibrance of this piece screams Corvette!  I completed this C7 Corvette Emblem 24x28 inch copper foil panel for a Live Auction to benefit Hosperus of Louisville. Our River Cities Corvette Club holds an annual car show to benefit Hosperus, where 100% of the proceeds goes towards the charity, and we were not disappointed with bidders. The live auction had car related items, as well as household goods and other art, and we raised $35,000!  This piece, and another lead came piece to be shown later in my gallery, brought high dollar bids and I am so very pleased that my contribution meant so much to participants. I used dark blue water glass, yellow amber edge, black iridized line textured glass for the checkered flag, smoking hot red glass, white opaque glass, a yellow dicro glass for the Chevy logo in 3-D on top of glass, with a grey opaque glass for the Fleu De Lis in 3-D as well, and white and grey white mixed cathedral glass for the edge of C7 flag emblem to create the look of chrome. The piece was such a hit, I've been commissioned to do several similar pieces since the event.  I put a chain on it for hanging,  but it was built so well, it could be used as a stationary window in a man cave.
