Product Reviews
Pros
I use this mold alot. I have learned to use fire paper even though the mold is kiln washed. Just makes it easier to remove the glass.

Pros
Able to cut with great amount of detail and fairly easily.
Cons
Works best with smaller pieces, larger pieces hard to manipulate and run into the side structure.
Other Thoughts
I've been very happy with my purchase.
Pros
I have found this cutter to be easy on your hands, especially when cutting many pieces of glass. I switched from ones I had been using for years.
Cons
It does leak when laid on it's side. I also tightened the screw too tight when filling and it cracked along the seam. I have re ordered a new one.

Pros
The etching is very beautiful and detailed but doesn't overtake the main focus of the project when used as a background.

The glass was a bit thicker than anticipated.

Pros
really nice glass , easy to cut and a nice selection for what I got
super glass for animals and outdoor scenes and panels.
Cons
I got 5 boxes so I could get a variety and ended up with 5 boxes of all same glass. have them watch the date codes on box so you know each date is different and you will get different glass or a better chance of it. Just be sure to request different dates on each box if you order more then 1. box was close to exact match as seen on website.

super glass and super deal for what you get. I am going to enjoy this glass no matter what. It is perfect glass for what I make. allot of animal suncatchers like butterflies and dogs and cats.
Pros
I have an old 600 watt microwave that I am using with excellent results. The first firing takes about 8 minutes, but the next one is 5 or 6 minutes. I check to see if it ready by getting eye level to the kiln and lifting the top just enough to see inside. It takes a little practice to be able to tell if the piece is ready. Just be sure to take the kiln out of the microwave and place on a ceramic tile and let it cool for 30 to 40 minutes before lifting the top off. I have not had a single piece crack. I have been very pleased with the results.
Cons
If the kiln was a little larger, I could do more than one piece at a time, but I knew it was small when I ordered it.
Other Thoughts
I was so relieved that the kiln works great in a 600 watt microwave, so if you have a lower watt microwave than 1000 watts, give it a try!
Pros
I use only Lead Free as I have a child in the house and the lead can go through the air vents and everything. I have always known that this is the less preferred method as it is thought that Lead free Solders are harder to work with. I wanted to find one that I could purchase at Delphi with the rest of my supplies. I finally got up the nerve to try this solder and all can say is WOW! I love it! It leaves an even better bead line and "level pools" very nicely. It lets you leave the iron on it a little longer to get the perfect dome without turning too thin and running too quickly. It has even taken the patina better! Granted--I use a scotch pad with Dawn to clean the flux/solder before hand--but I used the same method with other solder and did not have as good results as with the Mastercraft.
Cons
I wish I would have tried it sooner!
