1-1/2" X 3/4" Rectangle Silver Plated Deep Pendant Plates - 4 Pack by glassorchids on May 28, 2009 5 stars
Pros
These are great for creating altered art with a professional look.
Cons
I would like them in sterling or sterling plated for a less rustic look although I like this look too.

16" x 24" Homasote Board by sloppydb (top contributor) on May 28, 2009 5 stars
Pros
I have used this board for about a year now and still works super. pins are hard to push in but this is good cause they don't fall out either if you bump th
Cons
only con is that flux does soak up into board BUT if you apply a small layer of clear paint or something like this it will stop it soaking it up . I used primer and sealed it up and when it gets too dirty just sealed it over again stillworks. Just be sure to check paint or whatever you seal it with as far as burning with an iron. so far been ok using primer sealer and keeping a neat clean surface to work on.
Other Thoughts
please on above primer sealer read the can for heat uses. some are flamable!! use a latex primer sealer and I have been ok so far. and it does look nicer with a clean white surface to work on and helps with seeing thru glass some. Just use latex primer sealer and should be ok. if in doubt go to paint store take board with you and ask there.

Hot Head Bead Making Kit by tammayrend on May 27, 2009 4 stars
Pros
My mom bought me the Hot Head Bead Making Kit for Christmas the year I had my son. I was impressed that the kit had everything included except the MAPP gas. I felt confident that I could, for a fairly low investment from my mom, create unique glass beads literally right out of the box!
Cons
I was slightly intimidated to set up my glass-bead making space. I was overly worried with safety; however the folks at Delphi were exceedingly helpful. One con of the Hot Head Kit is that it doesn't come with a lot of instruction.
Other Thoughts
If you are at all nervous about using the torch for the first time, purchase a good instructional video (or a book for beginner flameworking) from Delphi to help you get started. I tried getting a book or video from the library, but there wasn't much available that suited my needs as a beginner. I would also urge buyers of the Hot Head Bead Making Kit to take a class if possible. Delphi's Lansing in-house instructors are technically knowledgeable and very impressive as instructors! One class had me taking my new bead making craft much further than I anticipated going.

Lazy Daisies Bevel Cluster by meemhp on May 26, 2009 4 stars
Pros
These bevels are great for a large piece and the pattern and suggestion for the type of glass used was very helpful. I have already been asked to make a 2nd piece.
Cons
My only concern was that the way the bevels were cut, a few of the pieces did not fit together as nicely as I would have liked them to.
Other Thoughts
These would also be great with a black center so they would look like black-eyed susan.

Studio Pro Iron Stand by gurrjl on May 26, 2009 5 stars
Pros
Sturdy and heavy enough that it won't easily tip over.
Cons
It could only be better if it was FREE. :-)
Other Thoughts
Not sure how I got along without this. There's no going back now!

Spectrum White & Pale Amber Opal by skagway on May 25, 2009 5 stars
Pros
As with all Spectrum glass this cuts like a dream. The color makes for a warm and elegant lamp shade that you never want to turn off.
Cons
Not a one!

Morton System Start-Up Kit by beneurotic on May 24, 2009 5 stars
Pros
I love the fact that they have videos on their website that get you started as well as a CD included. Easy to set up, use and love it!
Cons
Sometimes the glass doesn't glide easy, so bought the stainless steel balls which worked wonders but I thought should be included in the start up kit.
Other Thoughts
took a while to number the board. Would have been helpful to have that predone in the manufacturing process.

Delphi Studio Dome Paper Weight Mold by nfaibisy on May 21, 2009 4 stars
Pros
good shape, something for everyone
Cons
uses a lot of pricey glass
Other Thoughts
I really like it!

Ruby Paste Flux - 2 oz by jannybug on May 21, 2009 5 stars
Pros
I use copper came a lot for framing my sun catchers. It's very important that the flux be in the exact spot on the copper, because I don't want solder running all over it. The ruby flux , in its solid form, is the answer to this problem.
Cons
Sometimes I have to pry open the lid. Perhaps a different container could be employed.
Other Thoughts
Ruby flux is very useful for learning not to use too much solder.

Self-Adhesive Clear Rubber Feet by Julie C on May 21, 2009 5 stars
Pros
These make perfect feet for my fused coasters. They give each item a professional finish and they stick well to the glass
Cons

Ivory Night Light With 4w Bulb - 50 Pack by jannybug on May 21, 2009 5 stars
Pros
I had no idea how easy it is to sell nightlights! And you can design just about anything you can dream up. These night light fixtures are high quality and I've gone through 100 of them without finding a single defect. The glass attaches firmly and easily.
Cons
I wish the clips were sold as part of the fixture. I keep forgetting to order the clips.
Other Thoughts
Clear light bulbs are part of the pack, but experiment with using pink and blue bulbs, obtained from any hardware store.

5/32" Round H Lead Came Rolled & Bagged – 6 ft Piece by jannybug on May 21, 2009 5 stars
Pros
This seems to be the perfect-sized H came to use with the "Hobby U came" Aside from looking great, this lead is easy on the fingers (I play the harp and can't have sore fingers) and gracefully forms to every curve.
Cons
I can't think of a single con.
Other Thoughts
I appreciate that Delphi sells its lead in coils. This saves a lot of packaging fees and makes it easy to store.

Canfield 60/40 Solder - 1 lb. by bboc on May 20, 2009 5 stars
Pros
The flow is nice, but what I really appreciate about it is how pure the alloy is. It makes cleaner solder seams than any other I've tried.
Cons
It's more expensive, but I tried other stuff and was very disappointed.
Other Thoughts
If you are going to patina black, it may not matter as much, but when I am going to leave the solder silver, as I do on much of my work, I use this solder for a clean and smooth bead.
