Glastar Jewelry Bit by CCCreations (top contributor) on December 30, 2008 4 stars
Pros
Good quality, lasts long for many cuts. More artistic than glue on bails when using this groove maker with wire.
Cons
None that I can see.
Other Thoughts
Customers like the wire wrapped around the glass cabs better than glue on bails.

Portable Glass Shop by wendymae04 on December 30, 2008 4 stars
Pros
You have to have this with the Morton cutting system. If you follow the written instructions, it's very easy to cut your pieces consistently and easily.
Cons
the audio CD--who uses these anymore? They need to get a little techno-savvy and include a DVD for the computer.

Fuseworks Microwave Fusing Start-Up Kit - 90 COE by moonofglass on December 30, 2008 4 stars
Pros
This was my very first kiln. It didn't take me long to out grow it, but it gave me a real taste of glass fusing. Even though I'm moving up to the Delphi 15x6 kiln, I will likely still use this kiln for compatibility testing. The glass that comes with the kiln is great for starting up too! I would order more shelf paper though - you will run out quickly!
Cons
It's very, very small. You can't make more than a pendant at a time. Earrings are a little better, but the kiln doesn't always heat evenly. Also, if you have an explosion (which is inevitable) glass will eat away at the kiln floor, making it difficult to fuse on.
Other Thoughts
In order to use this kiln properly, you need a microwave that heats evenly. You also need to be able to experiment. Glass will shatter and break a lot if you don't learn how to use your microwave's power settings! I cook everything for twice as long as is specified in the guide at half power.

Bullseye Thinfire Shelf Paper - 20-1/2" x 20-1/2" Sheet by DONIKI (top contributor) on December 29, 2008 5 stars

Cons

Taurus 3 Ring Saw by wabisabi on December 28, 2008 4 stars
Pros
This was the second glass saw I tried. My first was a bandsaw which I hated. This saw was easy to use and enabled me to make those formerly "impossible" cuts. It's compact size was a welcome addition to my small studio. The instructional video was easy to follow but practice was the best teacher.
Cons
The saw was very noisy. The blades don't seem to last long and are expensive to replace.
Other Thoughts
As a starving artist, I thought long and hard about making this somewhat expensive purchase. It was worth the money!

5-1/2" Square Kiln Shelf by Patti O on December 28, 2008 5 stars
Pros
Great little shelf for my paragon sc2 kiln. Thin enough that I can still slump glass on my stainless candle cup mold. Thick enough I don't have to worry about shifting from a wobbly shelf!
Cons
None.
Other Thoughts
This is the only site I have found that carries these ceramic/stone shelves. Love that!!

Bullseye Deep Royal Purple Transparent Double Rolled - 90 COE by glassgaga (top contributor) on December 28, 2008 5 stars
Pros
The deep color is very saturated. It is a great substrate for dichro jewelry. I use it in stained glass as well. So this glass does double duty. It scores and breaks easily, it always fuses beautifully with other 90coe, it come from one of the top manufacturers.
Cons
The purple is so deep it needs a strong light to bring out its color. It can often appear black.
Other Thoughts
For me it is a must have.

Oceanside Coffee, Mustard Yellow, Dark Brown Mottle by evilunc on December 27, 2008 4 stars
Pros
Perfect background glass for yellow flowers as it suggests depth.
Cons
None really; the piece I received was not as dark in the shadow areas as the photo suggests.
Other Thoughts

Oceanside Cobalt Blue, Emerald Green, Spring Green and Purple Mottle by evilunc on December 27, 2008 4 stars
Pros
Great background glass for skies behind greenery. The mottles add depth quite nicely.
Cons
I'm not sure why but when photographed in certain light conditions the glass appeared to have a pinkish tinge.

1" Round Silver Plated Deep Pendant Plates - 4 Pack by rjackson76 on December 27, 2008 5 stars
Pros
I love all of these deep pendant plates. They are great for a variety of uses--they are sturdy and deep enough to layer different mediums within them. I use them for mini-mosaics and scrapbook collage jewelry and have not found anything I like better.
Cons
If you buy in bigger bulk, you get a good price break.
Other Thoughts
These are a great item, and you won't be disappointed.
